Riku now has access to all of his sleights, but he must be in Dark Mode to use most of them. Maleficent is added to the Characters section in the Journal.Īfter using the first of these Map Cards, reaching B11F, and viewing the scenes, Riku's Tale II is added to the Story. ![]() He also receives the first set of World Cards: Traverse Town, Agrabah, Monstro, and Neverland. Riku will learn how to access Dark Mode after the battle. Mastering the Duels is the best (and sometimes only) way to defeat some bosses in Riku's Story. You have a very short window to break a pre-determined amount of cards, so your best bet is to hammer that button and use as many cards as you can. By card breaking with the same value card, Riku starts a duel. This battle serves as a tutorial for Riku's Duel mechanic. Head out through the Conqueror's Respite and into the B12F Exit Hall. Riku gets the Dragon Maleficent Enemy Card after the battle. If she proves troublesome, re-synthesize a few rooms in Hollow Bastion to level up. Dragon Maleficent is much weaker at this point of the game, being Riku's first boss. Maleficent uses quite a few high-value cards for her attacks, so don't use those 7s, 8s, or 9s for regular attacks, or stock some of the lower ones to card break her. Riku needs to use the Gimmick Card to make it through this fight. Once you reach the final door, either create a Moment's Reprieve room or head back to the B12F Entrance Hall to save your game. ![]() Proceed through Hollow Bastion and use the Keys of Beginnings and Guidance for a pair of scenes. If you have enough CP you can have more than one of these sleights.Īll in all, if most of your stuff goes off and doesn't get broken, you have upwards of 10 sonic blades plus whatever else you toss in there. Elixir cost a lot of CP, so by using this method the actual value of the elixir doesn't need to be high. Since elixirs never come back after use, you can put it in it's own sleight with two other high value cards to ensure it never gets broken. Elixirs are super helpful because they can replenish all of your previously used cards, even cards lost to sleights. For example, the sleight would look like, kingdom key(9)]. I personally put in a firaga or blizzaga.Īfter all your sleights, put in an elixir with two high value cards after. Put a few blitz in there for flying enemies. Sonic blade will easily handle ground enemies. ![]() Set up your deck to have 3, 4, 5 sonic blades, adding on as your CP increases.
